Echo Sushi

When you think about a hidden gem there are a couple of factors that really come to mind, the atmosphere, the price and obviously the taste of the food. When it comes to sushi Echo hits every single mark right on the nose, the atmosphere takes you off the streets of Davisville into a Japanese oasis with fresh sushi being hand rolled right in front of your eyes to the traditional style of menu. It doesn’t stop there though because the sushi is on another level, you can taste the freshness of the fish in every piece as well as the perfectly portioned ingredients, truly fantastic sushi. To accompany the sushi was delicious miso soup that was surprisingly well made as most miso soup tends to be very salty, they even offered brown rice alternatives for those looking for the healthiest options.

From the sushi to the sashimi, the tempura to the miso this place had it all down. No wait time at 730pm on a weekday, full and uncensored all you can eat with no attempt to gauge the customer, wonderful customer service and a very reasonable price Echo is a must try. The only complaint the entire meal came from a small black bead found in a piece of sushi that only happened one time and was heavily apologized for from the server. But the piece de resistance, the be all end all of the meal came from the desert, their ice cream, both mango and green tea is comparable if not better then some you could find in Tokyo, I don’t know what they did to/added to it but this ice cream was absolutely perfect, the perfect end to the meal. A downside of the restaurant is that they fail to take any chances on the menu that places in Japan will take, a very tame menu that lacks creativity but does everything that they do offer very well. Overall Echo is a must try and will not leave you disappointed, definitely worth going back to as well.
